We are looking for an organized and proactive Medical Supplies and DME Purchasing Specialist to join our healthcare team in Brooklyn, NY. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing medical supplies and durable medical equipment (DME) to ensure facilities are properly stocked and operating efficiently.

The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage vendor relationships while controlling costs. You will work closely with clinical, administrative, and finance teams to ensure accurate ordering, inventory control, and compliance with healthcare standards.



Purchasing Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Purchase medical supplies and DME in accordance with organizational needs
  • Manage vendor relationships, pricing, contracts, and product availability
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs
  • Ensure timely delivery of supplies and resolve backorders or shortages
  • Track purchase orders, invoices, and budget alignment
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to understand supply requirement


Purchasing Specialist Requirements:

  • Experience in medical supplies or DME purchasing preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in purchasing systems and Excel
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
