Site: Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS), Department of Veterans Affairs
Duration: 1 year contract with the possible of two option years
Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM MST, 8-hour shifts, excluding federal holidays
Credentialing / Onboarding Time: 6 8 weeks
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience Needed: Minimum 6 months customer service experience
Special Skills Needed: Basic computer skills, typing speed of at least 50 WPM, basic medical terminology knowledge, oral and written English proficiency, no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with assigned duties
Responsibilities: Schedule patient appointments in accordance with VHA Directive 1230, process and track electronic orders and consults in CPRS and VistA, coordinate community care referrals via HSRM and PPMS, screen and respond to phone inquiries, validate and update patient demographic information, support patient check-in and Patient Aligned Care Team functions, maintain scheduling accuracy within VA standards
