    Type: Federal Salary Range: Per Hour Open Period: 7/28/2026 to 8/11/2026 Summary: To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications Standards. For this position, the job element method is used to match what you, the applicant, can do against what the work calls for. Your knowledge, skills and abilities will be compared to the knowledge, skills and abilities (called job elements) needed for success. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element - Ability to Lead or Supervise (screen out). Applicants who appear to meet the screen out element are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated from consideration. The potential eligibles are rated against the remainder of the job elements. While a specific length of training and experience is not required, your responses to the questionnaire must be supported by detailed descriptions of your experience on your resume. You will be rated on the following Job Elements as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position: Ability to Lead or Supervise (Screen-Out element) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, Etc. Technical Practices Use of Measuring Instruments Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (includes blueprinting reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Materials PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical effort is expended in continually standing, walking, and stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in small or cramped quarters. Frequently carries, lifts, pulls, or pushes parts and equipment, weighing up to and at times beyond fifty (50) pounds. Work is sometimes performed on ladders and/or scaffolding which requires incumbent to work overhead or in stretched, cramped or awkward position. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside and outside in all kinds of weather and is usually dirty, dusty, and greasy. Incumbent may perform work and is usually dirty, dusty, and greasy. Incumbent may perform work where foul smelling fumes are present. Incumbent has frequent exposure to possibility of scrapes, burns, various chemicals and injuries.
