We're hiring full-time Medical Support Staff Float to work at our various Health Solutions Offices.

What You'd Be Doing

As a member of the Medical Support Staff Float, you would be working in a fast-paced medical, behavioral healthcare, and addiction recovery practice. Creating and sustaining positive, compassionate interactions with clients and co-workers, and providing high quality service will be central to the work you do. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be important to your responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Support Services Director, Medical Support Staff Float:

  • Provides exemplary internal and external customer service on phone or in person.
  • Work hours between 6am and 8pm, and work at locations throughout Pueblo, Huerfano, and Las Animas Counties
  • Covers front desk reception as needed.
  • Operates switchboard/reception phone.
  • Actively engages with individuals who might be experiencing behavioral health or medical crises
  • Scans and uploads records to the electronic health record.
  • Verifies client payer eligibility.
  • Schedules client appointments as requested.
  • Processes Release of Information requests.
  • Balances cash drawer/box.
  • Maintains client electronic health records as needed.
  • Completes client phone enrollments.
  • Completes other department task requests as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or director.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires standing, sitting, driving, and walking for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 20 pounds
  • Requires working under stress in emergency situations
  • Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record data electronically and communicate with clients
  • Occasional exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids
  • Requires frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse

What We're Looking For-The Must-Haves

  • A high school/general equivalency diploma
  • One year of secretarial experience
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills
  • Knowledge of appropriate boundaries and flexibility
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • Current Colorado Driver License and access to transportation during work hours
