Medical Surgical Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse- $2210 per week.

Shift: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 years of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required with any experience within the last 12 months.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Credentials: - Associate Degree or Certificate.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - 1 travel contract strongly preferred. - Experience with pre-post cath, post pacemaker, and TR Bands strongly preferred.

Special Requests: - If a candidate has NP licensure, ThedaCare will only consider them for an NP role, not a lower position. - Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence.

Unit Details: - Primary cases across facilities include medical/surgical, general surgical, oncology, renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, stroke, surgical trauma and ortho, and DKA. - TCN 5th floor: cardiac patients including pre-post, heart cath, and pacemakers. - TCN Neuro: stroke, post-TNK, and neurosurgery. - Rare pediatric patients. - RNs are paired with support staff (LPN/CNA) based on acuity.

Shift & Scheduling: - Up to every other weekend; every weekend candidates may be considered. - Holiday rotation as needed. - On-call/call back: None. - Hours may vary during orientation week and during holidays when the unit is closed.

Floating Requirements: - Will float throughout all Med/Surg units at ThedaCare Appleton and ThedaCare Neenah. - May float to all ThedaCare facilities as needed, primarily ThedaCare Neenah and ThedaCare Appleton, and must be open to smaller locations as needed. - Assignment will be based on skillset to help fill staffing needs as needed. - Traveler will only take patients within their skillset.
