Document patient status accurately in Epic system
Assist with wound care and manage surgical drains
Participate in unit rotations including other med-surg and post-surgical floors
Support patient education and discharge planning
What You Need
Active Kansas or multi-state RN license
BLS certification from AHA
Minimum 1 year Medical Surgical experience
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and weekends
Strong clinical skills in surgical patient care and wound management
About the Assignment
This 32-bed unit specializes in post-surgical care for patients undergoing colorectal, abdominal, urological, orthopedic, and plastic surgeries. Staff ratios are 1:6, with a focus on delivering safe, patient-centered care amid a high-reliability organizational culture. Staff are expected to float between related inpatient surgical units and maintain a professional appearance, including navy scrubs.
