Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care per medical-surgical standards and care plans.

  • Monitor patient status, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the care team.

  • Administer medications and treatments safely following protocols.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.

  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

  • Demonstrate accountability for personal performance metrics and outcomes.

  • Seek ongoing professional development and pursue relevant certifications.

  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge plans.

  • Assist in triage and prioritization for high-volume patient flow.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Active RN license with current state board certification.

  • Minimum 2 years med-surg inpatient nursing experience.

  • Ability to administer medications and treatments per protocols.

  • Strong infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance knowledge.

  • Proficient in electronic health records and documentation accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary care teams.

  • Clinical decision-making with prioritization in high-volume settings.

  • Participation in quality improvement initiatives and outcome tracking.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and relevant certifications.

  • Patient and family education skills for discharge planning.
