Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) – Encinitas, CA

 

A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions throughout hospitalization

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs

  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed

  • Monitor patient progress and communicate significant changes to the healthcare team

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care

  • Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and recovery expectations

  • Promote patient safety and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices

  • Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care initiatives

  • Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout the care journey

  • Care for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions

 

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Previous acute care nursing experience preferred

  • Advanced certifications preferred or ability to obtain

  • Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
