Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Stroke experience and NIH assessments; chest tube management; PIV starts; trach care; cardiac rhythm interpretation; NGT placement; drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, Foley insertion/management, etc.); and PCA pump management. - Medication gtt management, including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF. - First-time travelers are not preferred but may be considered for the Resource Team.
Special Requests: - Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if contracted hours cannot be met.
Unit Details: - Patient population includes stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleed. - RN ratios are 1:5-6, acuity dependent; surge staffing may increase ratios to 1:7-8. - Equipment and systems include Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitors.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend rotation. - No call. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle repeats every 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: - Floating to facilities within Region 1 is required as regional needs arise and must remain within scope of practice; facilities may include Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH [peds only]). - Mid-shift floating may require travel between facilities.
6 days maximum time off
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
