Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• ASN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, and central line management.
Required Credentials: - ASN / BSN
Special Requests: - RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
Unit Details: - Patient population includes stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu/pneumonia/COVID), renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wounds. - RN ratios: 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. - LPN ratios: 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. CNA ratio: 1:10. - CNA support for ADLs, mobility, and feeding; no HUC. - Charge nurse may or may not have a patient assignment. - Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, and telemetry monitoring tech available; RT, hospitalist, and intensivist available 24/7. - Uses VNO virtual nursing (10 cameras); virtual RNs can act as 2nd RN witness for certain meds, closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, and assist with admission/discharge items.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: - Floating within Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH) as needed, within scope of practice.
6 days maximum time off
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
