Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers not accepted. Experience with trachs, chest tubes, IV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and central line blood draws. Experience with non-titrating drips: Heparin, Lasix, Protonix.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with non-titrating drips: Cardizem and Amiodarone. Can teach here if no experience.
Unit Details: Transitional care/general Med-Surg population including CHF, COPD, kidney/liver/GI/respiratory issues, CIWA patients, infections, and wounds. Mostly medical patients, but any service line can admit, so some general surgeries and other patients may be seen. Bedside monitors with central monitor at the nurses’ station. Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing. Support includes 1 CNA for each 10-bed area, a shared charge nurse, phlebotomy 24/7, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, and residents 24/7.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call.
Floating Requirements: Could float within scope of practice at the hospital.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
