Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2820 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Current Med-Surg/Medical-Surgical/Med-Surg Tele experience of 24 months is required. - Required patient types include med-surg care, including overflow of postoperative surgical hips/knees. - Charge experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience caring for psychiatric patients is preferred. - Preceptor experience is preferred.

Special Requests: - Former UPH employees who were FTEs or PRN members of the UPH float pool cannot work travel assignments in another market, regardless of which facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. This separation policy does not apply to clinicians who previously worked travel at UPH rather than working as FTEs or PRN members.

Unit Details: - Psychiatric patients may be included in the unit’s overflow population. - Heparin drips are used. - Telemetry monitoring is remote.

Shift & Scheduling: - Schedule options include Friday through Monday, or three weekend days with a fourth shift during the week, at the RN’s discretion. - Flexible contract hours: 36 per week can be accommodated if the RN prefers. - Unless the unit is closed, contractors are required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers are required to float to other campuses and like units during holiday rotation. - Travelers are required to float across all campuses, including Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
