Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: - 1-2 years acute care nursing experience.
Special Requests: - Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location and disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Must disclose previous Marshfield employment. Previous Marshfield workers must have an end date 6 months prior to submission. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Block scheduling to the best of our ability, dependent on staffing.
Unit Details: - Nurse:patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, NOCs 1:5-6. - Patient population includes ortho trauma (fractures, joint replacements), vascular (fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomy, heparin drips, many have wound dressing changes), urology (TURP, TURBT, continuous bladder irrigation), neuro-spine (laminectomy, fusion, back pain), OB/GYN oncology (TAH/OBS), and acute medical patients. - RNs titrate drips following a prescribed nomogram; common drips include heparin, and occasionally nitro, Bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin. - Telemetry techs watch the monitors 24/7; RNs do not need to read strips. - Charge nurse on all shifts takes an assignment; house supervisor on all shifts. - Nursing assistants present. 0630-1900 1:8-10, 1900-2300 2 CNAs for the nursing unit, 2300-0700 1 CNA for the nursing unit. During 1900-0700, RNs carry different responsibilities than the day shift model for vital signs and ADLs. - RT support is present; equipment includes CPAP, BIPAP, and High Flow Oxygen Therapy. No vents.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Every other holiday. - No call.
Floating Requirements: - Float required to other adult medical/surgical nursing units.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
