Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• No current placement allowed at Program: TrioWFS Program - UnityPoint Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - At least 24 months of Stepdown, Progressive Care or Med Surg/Medical Surgical experience. - Experience with drips: amiodarone, dilitiazem, heparin, dobutamine, milrinone. - Equipment experience with chest tubes, JP drain, 3-way Foley, NG.
Special Requests: - Past UPH FTE or PRN float pool employees are not eligible to work travel in another market if they currently work at, or have worked at, UPH within the past 12 months; prior UPH travel assignments are exempt from this policy. - Unless the unit is closed, required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
Unit Details: - Cares for Med Surg patients and all surgical cases except ortho and spine. - Patient ratios: 1:4/5 (days); 1:5/6 (nights).
Shift & Scheduling: - Fri, Sat, Sun schedule. - Holiday rotation. - No call.
Floating Requirements: - Traveler will be required to float across Med Surg units throughout St. Luke’s Hospital.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
