Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - High acuity experience required. - Wound care, surgical/post-op care, IV starts, wound vacs, PEG tubes, tube feedings, TPN, chest tubes, drains, and trach care/tracheostomy management required. - Must be able to read and interpret rhythm strips, manage central lines, draw blood, and titrate cardizem, heparin, and insulin drips. - 2 years telemetry RN experience required. - Vent experience required. A 3hr class taught by RT and an additional 12hrs of orientation with vent patients will be provided. Patients may include, but are not limited to, those with hypoxic brain injury on a chronic ventilator waiting for placement. Travelers must have vent experience and be comfortable with vents before arrival. - Charge experience required; must be willing and comfortable performing charge duties.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - 1-2 years ICU experience preferred.
Unit Details: - Patient population includes COPD, chest pain, post-cardiac cath patients recovered on another unit first, COVID, diabetes, cellulitis, chronic trachs, wounds, ventilator patients, surgical patients, and heart failure. - Surgical cases include laparoscopic procedures; no major surgeries. - Uses Alaris, Pyxis, and GE monitors. - Patient ratios: day/evenings 1:4-5; nights 1:6-7.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend rotation. - No on-call requirement. - One holiday per contract. - Cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12 hour shifts.
Floating Requirements: - Floats to all other MS units and ED holding (1:4 ratio in ED holding); travelers float first.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
