Medical Technician – Englewood, FL

Location: Englewood, Florida
Schedule: Full-Time | Night Shift (Rotating Weekends)
Pay Rate: $22.39/hr – $31.34/hr

Position Overview

A leading clinical laboratory services provider is seeking a skilled Medical Technician to join a high-performing laboratory team in Englewood, FL. The organization supports a wide network of acute care hospitals, physician practices, surgery centers, rehabilitation facilities, and healthcare clients across Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT laboratory testing with accuracy and efficiency
• Process and analyze proficiency testing samples per established protocols
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient results
• Monitor pending logs and resolve outstanding test work
• Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot specimen or result issues
• Ensure turnaround time requirements are met for STAT orders
• Apply independent judgment when reviewing and correlating results
• Provide operational support in the absence of supervisory staff

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
• Active Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist/Technician License
• Certification/eligibility in one or more areas:
  • Hematology
  • Chemistry
  • Microbiology
  • Blood Bank
  • Serology

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related discipline
• 1+ year of clinical laboratory experience
• Generalist certification/license preferred
