Facility: Northside Hospital – Northside Hospital Forsyth
Location: 1200 Northside Forsyth Drive, Cumming, GA 30041
Department: 702F Clinical Lab – Med Tech
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: Monday–Sunday, Varies
Local Candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to perform clinical laboratory testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in Blood Bank, limited Microbiology, and Hematology within a clinical laboratory setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Technologist/MLS experience
• Recent experience in:
  • Blood Bank
  • Hematology
  • Limited Microbiology
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
• Must hold one of the following certifications:
  • ASCP
  • NCA
  • AMT
  • AAB
  • HHS

Important Facility Requirement

• Only Medical Technologists / Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) will be considered
• Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) will NOT be considered

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis according to established procedures.
• Process and evaluate patient specimens accurately and efficiently.
• Perform testing in Blood Bank, Hematology, and limited Microbiology.
• Review and verify laboratory results while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
• Follow laboratory safety, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and specimen integrity.
• Communicate critical or abnormal results according to facility protocols.
