Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital. The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for more than a century, having first opened its doors in 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.

 

Responsibilities:

The Med Tech must possess a degree of skill commensurate with their level of education, training or experience and technical abilities, performing procedures including collection, processing and analysis, and reporting of patient test results; identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance and either correcting or reporting the issue; perform and document maintenance; daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed on instruments and equipment as appropriate; review of patient results for accuracy, and other duties related to Lab.

Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience

1.ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.

2.Minimum of Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.

3.Minimum of 2 years of Hospital Laboratory experience with Bachelor's Degree, Minimum of 3 years of Hospital Laboratory experience with an Associate's Degree.
