Shift: Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Salary Range: $32.62- $40.77- $48.93 based on years of experience

Job Summary
• Seeking a hospital-based Section Coordinator to provide technical expertise, oversee laboratory operations, and ensure high-quality patient care while supporting a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibilities
• Perform STAT laboratory procedures and analyze patient testing samples accurately and efficiently.
• Perform quality control procedures per protocol and complete all required documentation.
• Assist the supervisor/department head in developing staff to meet regulatory requirements (CAP, etc.).
• Train and mentor laboratory personnel on departmental procedures and best practices.
• Prioritize, perform, or delegate laboratory testing based on patient information, staff competency, and departmental policies.
• Provide operational feedback and updates to the Laboratory Manager.
• Lead staff by example, maintain effective teamwork, and ensure efficient department operations.

Job Qualifications
• Associate degree (2-Year) in science required.
• Bachelor's Degree (4-Year) in Medical Technology preferred.
• State of Florida Technologist Supervisory License required.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist required.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills preferred.
