Medical Technologists (Liberty County Hospital District No 1 dba Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center) (Liberty, TX): Perform routine, complex or specialized molecular, hematological, chemical, immunological, serological and immunoassay procedures on bodily fluids; Perform manual and automated test procedures and accurately report lab results to include performing special calculations and report critical values; Perform and review quality control; decide if results are within acceptable limits; Perform preventive maintenance schedules and proper calibration of lab equipment ensuring automated equipment is operational; Assist in the evaluation of new procedures and equipment; Ensures results of controls are verified and reviewed and entered in the Laboratory Information System (LIS), Cerner; Perform maintenance in the LIS software, Cerner for the purpose of maintaining, updating, and upgrading functionality of the system including test procedures and/or other areas may affect performance of Cerner; and participate in opportunities for continuing education and/or teaching, training according to the section performance standards enhance technical skills. Must have experience with the following: Experience with laboratory equipment and procedures; Experience with specimen requirements, processing procedures, and specimen rejection criteria; Experience using laboratory forms and logs; Experience reporting laboratory results, including special calculations, critical values and quality control; and Experience with LIS software. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field and at least 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist or related occupation. Requires certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (AMT/ASCP) or registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP). Salary: $24.00 - $39.00/hr.
