Duration: 3+ months of Contract with possibilities of an extension or Temp to Hire
Shift: Mon-Fri (9:30 am - 6:00 pm) EST
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr on W2

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Medical Transcriptionist to accurately transcribe pathology/medical dictations into the Laboratory Information System (LIS). The role also involves editing reports, maintaining records, and supporting the pathology team with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transcribe pathology and medical dictations into LIS.
• Edit and correct reports as instructed by Pathologists.
• Communicate urgent (STAT) or critical results when required.
• Obtain patient clinical history, if needed.
• Maintain consultation/send-out logs and related documentation.
• Assist with other clerical and administrative duties.
• Follow laboratory SOPs and quality standards.

Requirements:

• 0–3 years of Medical Transcription experience.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Strong data entry, typing, organizational, and communication skills.
• High School Diploma (HSD) or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
