Pride Health is hiring a
Medical Transcriptionist to support our client’s medical facility in following cities,
White Plains, NY. This is a 3-month assignment and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Summary:This role is responsible for accurately transcribing pathology dictation, maintaining laboratory documentation, and supporting pathologists with timely and accurate reporting. Candidates should have strong medical terminology knowledge, excellent typing and data entry skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Transcribe pathology gross descriptions and, when applicable, microscopic diagnoses and clinical information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Edit and correct reports according to pathologist instructions.
- Communicate STAT and malignant results to clients when required.
- Obtain patient clinical history as needed.
- Prepare consultation and send-out cases.
- Maintain consultation and send-out logs.
- Assist with training new staff members as needed.
- Assign CPT codes after completing required training.
- Identify and report issues that could affect test quality or reporting.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and quality guidelines.
- Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong data entry and typing skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and clerical skills.

- Location: White Plains, NY
- Job Type: 13-week contract
- Pay Range: $20 - $22 (Hourly)
- Shifts: 9:00AM-6:00PM Mon-Fri
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
