Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Records Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will collect patient information, enter information in our system, and be responsible for the general organization and maintenance of patient records. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Follow all HIPPA procedures in the accurate maintenance of patient records
- Must constantly answer medical records requests via email
- Ensure all patient paperwork is completed and submitted in an accurate and timely manner
- File patient medical records and information
- Maintain the confidentiality of all patient medical records and information
- Provide billing department with appropriate documents and forms
- Process subpoena records within 24 hours
- Other administrative and clerical duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Records Clerk or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and administrative processes
- Familiarity with information management programs, Microsoft Office, and other computer programs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
