About the Role:
Riverwood Assisted Living Facility in Dobson, NC is looking for a compassionate and dependable Medication Aide to join our dedicated care team. Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications to residents accurately and on schedule in accordance with care plans
• Document medication administration and report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and escalate concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with state and facility regulations
• Communicate effectively with nurses, caregivers, and family members regarding resident health status
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medications per facility policy

Requirements:

• Current, valid Medication Aide certification in the state of North Carolina
• Prior experience in an assisted living, long-term care, or skilled nursing facility preferred
• Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused demeanor
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
