Min: USD $17.14/Hr. Max: USD $26.56/Hr. Overview:

Assist / support Leadership in Medication Verification in assessment of personnel training needs.  Assist / support Leadership in training and competency program development /enhancement.  Assist / support Leadership in implementation of new training/competency programs. Completes training of new and existing medication verification technician personnel. Completes competency assessment of technician staff.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Training or experience in customer service, education, communication, or related field preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

  • Possesses or in process of a current State of Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare or customer service.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrates understanding of organizational culture and initiatives.
  • Demonstrates all values of the organization as demonstrated through work history and documented on performance review.
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication, problem solving, basic math, and customer relations skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs
Responsibilities:
  1. Lead trainer for medication verification technician core positions during 90-day probationary period.

 

  1. Develops, modifies, and implements training schedules for new technician staff.

 

  1. Identifies, evaluates, and reports performance and behavioral problems or issues with new and existing staff.

 

  1. Modification of staff training plans to address individual staff deficiencies.

 

  1. Assists Leadership in the design of training programs.

 

  1. Assists in the selection of other technician trainers as needed.

 

  1. Coordinates/performs staff competency assessments.

 

  1. Assists in staff training for new technologies, procedures, or programs.

 

  1. Develops annual goals consistent with MHS strategic plan and goals.

 

  1. Manages/updates all records of education/competency for the department.

 

  1. Attend Employment Development (EDI) or Leadership Development (LDI) courses through Organizational Learning & Development as determined by manager.

 

  1. Performs other related work as required or requested.
