Essential Job Duties
Follows physician orders and administers regularly scheduled oral, topical, suppository, otic, nasal, and ocular medications to Assisted Living Residents.
Consults with the Nurse Manager to assess a resident who requests a PRN (pro re nata) as needed medication.
Reports observations regarding changes in residents status.
Maintains the medication cabinets, drawers, and disposal of outdated and discontinued medications.
Schedules re-fills.
Qualifications
State of NH MNA license.
One year of long-term care experience preferred.
Visual and aural acuity to detect changes in conditions of residents and to read and recognize written medication orders and MARs.
Must be clean and professional at all times and follow the dress code, which prohibits tattoos and excessive jewelry.
A valid NH Drivers license, criminal background check, and drug testing is required.
