Job Summary
We are seeking a Medication Technician to join our team! As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be working in a lab with other technicians running tests and procedures using a variety of equipment, following all lab safety guidelines and procedures, and recording results accurately. You will also perform basic maintenance and calibration on the systems you use every day, stock supplies as needed, and maintain a safe, clean working environment at all times. The ideal candidate has the proper laboratory certification, previous lab experience, and excellent attention to detail.  

Responsibilities 
  •  
    • Assist with daily living activities
    • Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
    • Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
    • Provide adjunct patient care
    • Monitor food intake 
    •  Administering medications as per the instructions of a healthcare professional
    • Documenting the medications administered to patients
    • Observing and recording patients’ responses to medications
    •  Reporting to nursing staff on duty about patients’ conditions and medication side effects
    • Following safety procedures when handling and disposing of medications
    •  Collaborate with other healthcare professionals

Qualifications
  •  
    • High school diploma/GED
    • Valid Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification
    • First aid and CPR-certified
    • Basic computer skills
    • Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal spills
    • Ability to lift heaving objects
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
    • Ability to work with limited supervision
    • Compassionate, respectful, ethical
