    Liberty Cares With Compassion AtLiberty Senior Livingis currently seeking the following position: MEDICATION TECHNICIAN Job Description: Provides medication administration for residents. Takes orders, documents orders, orders medications, receives medications, and administers medications. Performs all procedures of good nursing care such as taking vital signs, giving enemas and suppositories, etc. Performs excellent universal precaution and hazardous chemical procedures in order to keep residents and staff safe. Communicates with physicians and other health care professionals as needed to ensure quality nursing and medication orders. Be alert to all needs of residents reporting immediately any changes in residents status to doctor, family, and administration. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have completed the Medication Technician/Aide coursework and validation in state of practice. Must have at least 6 months experience as a Medication Technician. Must be detail oriented and able to adhere to all policies and procedures. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be listed in good standing with the state of practice health care personnel registry and/or licensure verification board with no findings of abuse, neglect or misappropriation. Must be willing to care for geriatric patients and have a genuine concern for their welfare. Must be willing to receive, understand, and follow orders. Must be willing to work and cooperate well with other care team staff, other departments, and families and visitors. Must be kind and respectful to residents, staff, and visitors. Must be able to use equipment without jeopardizing the safety of self, others, or equipment and use supplies safely and economically. Wears approved uniform or approved dress code and name tag. Demonstrates neat appearance and good personal hygiene. Must read, know, and follow personnel, department, and Community policies and procedures. Visit www.libertycareers.com for more information.
