Melt Shop & Pipe Forming Equipment Operator

Step into the heart of heavy industry

You’ll operate the big machines that turn scrap into finished metal pipe. From the melt shop to forming, you’ll keep materials moving safely and efficiently across departments.

What you’ll do

• Run heavy-duty production equipment and confidently operate forklifts.
• Work where scrap metal is melted and shaped into metal pipes.
• Use approved equipment to handle and transport loads weighing approximately 3,800–4,500 lbs.
• Transfer in-process products between departments for additional forming and processing.
• Follow rigorous safety procedures around extreme heat, heavy machinery, hot metal, and moving equipment.

What you’ll bring

• Required: Proven forklift operation and heavy-machine operating experience.
• Preferred: Background in heavy industrial environments such as metal processing, steel, foundry, or similar manufacturing.
• Comfort working in an extremely hot and physically demanding environment.
• Mature judgment, strong safety focus, dependability, and the ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
• Stable work history preferred.

Work environment

This role is hands-on in a hot, high-energy setting with large moving equipment and molten materials. Safety discipline and situational awareness are essential every shift.
