Overview The Member Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening relationships, growing membership, and fostering a vibrant, inclusive community at the Asheville JCC. This position supports fund development by increasing member satisfaction, retention, and engagement through meaningful programming, outreach, and events. What You'll Do - Develop and implement member appreciation initiatives that build loyalty and deepen connection
- Support and grow affinity groups that reflect member interests and foster community
- Design and distribute program member surveys
- Analyze feedback and provide recommendations to improve engagement and satisfaction
- Support strategies to recruit new members and increase participation across programs
- Serve as a welcoming point of contact for prospective and new members
- Plan and host a minimum of two annual newcomer and/or member receptions to engage new members
- Introduce and coordinate new social and engagement programs, including offerings that appeal to broader audiences
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure offerings align with member interests and organizational goals
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses to enhance member benefits, partnerships, and community visibility
- Provide logistical and coordination support for fundraising events and initiatives
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure events reflect strong member engagements practices
What We're Looking For Required Skills/Abilities - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local errands and donation pick-ups
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
Education & Experience - Associate or Bachelors in Related Field (Business Administration, Communications, English, Marketing, Hospitality) preferred
- Non-Profit, required
- Fund development, marketing, and customer service preferred
- Familiarity with Jewish communal life and/or demonstrated ability to engage diverse communities respectfully and inclusively
Additional - Must be at least 18 years old
- Pre-employment screening required
- Must pass background check
- Must be able to lift boxes up to 40 pounds
