SUMMARY: This position respond to member and guest needs, promote the YMCA, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Welcome Center and Lobby areas, and ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA are conveyed in everything they do.

JOB LOCATION:Wellmark YMCA
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Various shifts including early morning,mid day, afternoon, and evening during the week and weekends; maximum 20 hours a week
PAY RATE: $11.00-$13.00/hour based on qualifications
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: July 21, 2026 - Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
  2. Conduct tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; performs basic member and program transactions.
  3. Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.
  4. Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
  5. Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services.
  6. Maintains lobby appearance and ensure safety measures are in place.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.
  8. Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical functions
  2. Must be at least 16 years of age
  3. Minimum 6 months customer service experience
  4. Minimum 6 months of work experience that involved cash handling
  5. Perform basic computer skills such as computerized time clock, view members' accounts, and online training requirements.
  6. Current Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Certification OR equivalent - prior to starting
  7. Child Abuse Prevention Training - prior to starting, and maintained annually.
  8. Training to be completed within the first 30 days and maintained afterwards
