The Facilities Security Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure work environment for employees and guests at the CommunityCare Member & Resource Center. The Facilities Security Coordinator will serve as a visible security presence and check point, interact directly with the public and employees, provide assistance, monitor facilities, and report and oversee security incidents. Position reports to the Manager of the Member & Resource Center.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide excellent customer service and ensure the security and safety of all employees and visitors while at CommunityCare.
Monitor the reception area and assist guests with check-in and check-out, respond to inquiries, and provide directions and general information.
Maintain reception and lobby areas in a professional, organized, and welcoming manner.
Monitor security cameras, alarms, and access control systems and report unusual or suspicious activity.
Respond appropriately to emergencies, disturbances, and security events, contact emergency services when necessary.
Conduct routine security rounds and inspect entrances, exits, common areas and parking lots for safety and security concerns.
Serve as the primary point of contact for after-hours emergencies.
Assist with the setup, configuration, and breakdown of rooms and facilities for programs, meetings, rentals, and special events, including arranging furniture, equipment, and supplies according to event specifications and returning spaces to their standard configuration upon completion.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.
Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated ability to effectively monitor and observe surroundings to identify and respond to potential security concerns.
Ability to assess situations quickly, remain calm under pressure, respond effectively during emergency or high-stress situations, and exercise sound judgment when making decisions.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds and performing physical activities such as walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, and carrying items throughout the workday.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality while exercising discretion in communications and interactions with employees, visitors, vendors, and the public.
Ability to converse and write fluently in English.
Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalency.
A minimum of five years of security experience.
C.L.E.E.T Certified.
CPR/First Aid training preferred.
