Member Service Representative

A well-established credit union is looking for Member Service Representatives.

Responsible for proper transaction posting and account handling in addition to accurate receipt and disbursement of money to and from members. Responsible for furnishing information to the members about the credit union and its products and services.


Typical duties:

• Ensures members’ accounts are credited and debited properly.
• Understands and negotiates checks, with a full understanding of placement of check holds in order to mitigate check fraud and losses.
• Completes cashier’s checks and cash advances following OFAC and MI Log procedures.
• Completes CTR/SAR when applicable and appropriate.
• Balances cash drawer at the end of the day.
• Reaches out to proper departments when dealing with ticklers, lockouts, and warnings on accounts in order to clear any pending items, prior to rendering services to members as applicable.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent with six (6) months of similar or related experience. Cash handling experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
• Basic Computer Skills

Member Service Representatives must be available for work at least 35 hours Monday to Saturday each week. Rotating schedules will be assigned between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.  

The position will run for 6 months.

$15.25/hr.
