Job Overview:
We are seeking a Member Services Representative specializing in AACU Mortgage Processing for a 3-month contract with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent role. This position is 100% onsite in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience in mortgage processing, title companies, or banking, with a strong preference for those with mortgage processing expertise. Interviews will consist of two rounds: an initial phone screen and a second onsite interview if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Create new mortgage loans and process applications for the purchase or refinance of real estate.
- Prepare pre-closing Loan Quality Initiative requirements, credit analysis, and quality control of loan information.
- Ensure accurate closing and funding of mortgage loans across all 50 states and the Virgin Islands using the Prime Alliance LFC system.
- Serve as a backup for initial member contact via incoming phone calls and assist with applications through the Prime Alliance loan origination system.
- Represent the Mortgage Department at Credit Union events, seminars, and special projects as directed by management.
- Meet deadlines and assist with production goals.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of all account and related information, complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience (preferred).
- Previous mortgage lending experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of FNMA, NCUA, and AAFCU Mortgage Lending Guidelines (preferred).
- Experience in Residential Mortgage Closing and Funding (preferred).
- Working knowledge of PC software, including Desktop Underwriting, Prime Alliance, and Episys (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and function as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with professional telephone manners.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
- Spanish language skills (a plus).
- Ability to work under deadlines and high-volume pressure.
- Adaptability to a diverse work environment and quick learning capabilities.
- Self-motivation with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance.
- Ability to pass applicable pre-hire compliance checks.
