The Member Services Representative provides personalized, professional support to Medicare members by responding to inquiries related to enrollment, eligibility, benefits, billing, claims, and authorizations. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment while maintaining regulatory compliance and confidentiality.
Essential Responsibilities
" Provide high-quality customer service via phone, electronic communication, or in person
" Respond to inquiries regarding enrollment, benefits, claims, billing, eligibility, and authorizations
" Accurately document all member interactions in the tracking system
" Meet or exceed departmental production and quality standards
" Maintain working knowledge of Medicare and health insurance regulations
" Use internal systems such as Amisys and Macess (training provided as needed)
" Exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skills
" Maintain strict confidentiality of member health and business information
" Comply with all regulatory, departmental, and company policies
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
" High School Diploma or GED (College coursework preferred)
Experience:
" Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
" Call center or administrative support experience preferred
" Medicare and/or health insurance experience strongly preferred
Required Skills & Competencies
" Strong written and verbal communication skills
" Professional, empathetic, and service-oriented phone presence
" Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
" Proficiency in Windows-based systems
" Comfortable using VPN, headset, and standard office equipment
" Strong time management and organizational skills
" Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
