Member Services Representative
Location: Richmond, VA
Contract: W2 only, 12 month contract
Pay: $18 /hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match
 
Overview
This position will work at a call center handling member interactions both by phone and in person at designated branch locations. The role is responsible for providing exceptional member service, handling account inquiries, processing financial transactions, resolving problems, and promoting credit union products and services. Following initial training, the candidate may be required to work between branch locations.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Inform, educate, and advise members regardless of individual circumstances
  • Perform transfers, withdrawals, loan payments by transfer, and advances from lines of credit
  • Process check orders, credit card payments, and consumer loan payments
  • Assist members with payroll deductions, direct deposits, stop payments, transfer programs, and account inquiries
  • Support consumer loan and credit card inquiries
  • Promote credit union products and services through cross-selling efforts
  • Perform cash handling and teller duties when applicable
  • Handle member inquiries and resolve issues
  • Complete assigned duties as directed by management
  • Comply with all regulatory policies and procedures
  • Complete required enterprise training, including BSA, OFAC, and Information Security
  • Report Risk Management policy violations in accordance with policy
Required Skills
  • Minimum 1+ year banking experience as a front desk teller 
  • Minimum 1+ year experience in a finance-related call center handling customer calls and problem resolution
  • Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment
  • Strong attention to detail when working with numbers and names
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to consistently provide excellent professional service
  • Ability to work in a multitasking environment
  • Active listening and problem-solving abilities in complex member conversations
Required Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
