The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Member Services Representative to join our Child Care team.

The Childcare Members Service Representative is responsible for administrative support of our Child Care sites and families. This includes responding to inquiries about our year-round Child Care programing. In this role, you will focus on providing exceptional customer service and ongoing software support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain good public relations with members and always represent the best interests of the YMCA.
- Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
- Greet and assist all members, potential members and staff in a courteous, professional and friendly manner.
- Assisting with basic membership transactions.
- Respond to members' needs. Contact appropriate personnel when necessary and notify supervisor of unusual situations. Handle complaints in a courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- Strong Customer Service skills and a commitment to positive client experiences.
- Two years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using computers and standard office equipment.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
- Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Wage: $17.51 to $18.01 per hour (Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range)
Hours: Part-Time, up to 25 hours per week
Location: YMCA Child Care Office - Pierce, Lakewood, WA
