What You'll Do

  • Performs all functions of Membership Associates I and II.
  • Stationed at the Membership Services Center for at least 90% of their time, modeling stellar customer service behavior, while mentoring, coaching, and training staff and volunteers in delivering stellar service to all.
  • Oversees successful operation of the Membership Services Center, ensuring member and prospect needs are met/addressed, appropriate and clear procedures are followed, and all team members have a full command of their roles.
  • Possesses or quickly develops a command of YGBW's organizational membership software system, ensuring ability to process all transactions and train membership associates in system operation.
  • Develops weekly staff schedules and approves staff time/payroll in HRIS system.
  • Oversees processing of income-based memberships.
  • Assists Membership Associates in handling difficult member, guest and/or staff issues with the ability to diffuse concerns, while maintaining a positive attitude and composure.
  • Collaborates with branch departments to develop a system of communication that ensures the membership team receives accurate and updated information about branch offerings, schedules, changes and more in a timely manner, equipping them to deliver accurate information to all.
  • Works in partnership with the Branch Membership Director to train staff in leading cause-driven facility tours for prospective members, empowering them to deliver a high level of engagement toward conversion and retention. Assist with hiring, supervising, onboarding and training membership associates.
  • Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • At least 18 years of age required
  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Prior knowledge and/or minimum of two years of experience in membership or sales required, 3 years preferred
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
