Membership Sales Lead

Elite Health & Fitness — Stoughton, Massachusetts
Two Positions Available | August 2026 Start

About the Position

Elite Health & Fitness is hiring two motivated, organized, and results-driven Membership Sales Leads to work together in building and growing our sales department.

One Sales Lead will primarily cover mornings, while the other will cover evenings. Together, they will create a consistent sales process, manage leads, maintain CRM automations, develop membership promotions, support personal training sales, and improve member retention.

We are looking for people who can build relationships and close sales while also helping create the systems, organization, and accountability needed for a successful sales department.

Schedule

Both positions are on-site, Monday through Friday:

  • Morning position: 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
  • Evening position: 3:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.

Candidates may apply for the shift that best fits their availability. Availability for both shifts is not required.

The two Sales Leads will communicate regularly to ensure smooth handoffs of leads, appointments, tours, follow-ups, and member needs between shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Membership Sales

  • Respond to new leads through phone calls, text messages, and email.
  • Conduct facility tours, present membership options, handle objections, and close membership sales.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective members throughout the sales process.
  • Re-engage missed appointments, previous leads, former members, and expired prospects.
  • Help establish clear sales expectations, procedures, and accountability standards.
  • Track lead response times, appointments booked, show rates, closing percentages, and total membership sales.

CRM, Scheduling, and Automation

  • Maintain an organized CRM and shared sales calendar for tours, consultations, follow-ups, and new-member onboarding.
  • Create and manage automated appointment confirmations, reminders, follow-up sequences, and lead-nurturing campaigns.
  • Keep CRM notes, lead statuses, appointments, and follow-up tasks accurate and current.
  • Ensure every lead is properly entered, assigned, tracked, and contacted.
  • Help train the sales team to use CRM pipelines, shared calendars, scheduling tools, and automated workflows.
  • Create clear systems for transferring leads and appointments between the morning and evening shifts.
  • Regularly review the CRM and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and conversions.
  • Experience with ClubOS, ABC Fitness/ABC Financial, ABC Ignite, or similar platforms is strongly preferred.

Membership Promotions

  • Develop and coordinate membership promotions throughout the year.
  • Create targeted campaigns for new prospects, former members, local businesses, students, and community groups.
  • Work with club leadership and marketing staff to plan and communicate promotions.
  • Ensure the sales team understands each offer and presents it accurately and consistently.
  • Track promotional results and use performance data to improve future campaigns.

Personal Training Sales

  • Introduce new and current members to personal training, small-group training, sports performance, and other premium services.
  • Identify members who may benefit from additional coaching.
  • Schedule members for fitness assessments, introductory sessions, or personal training consultations.
  • Work closely with the personal training department to create an effective handoff from membership enrollment to fitness onboarding.
  • Train and support sales employees in discussing training options during tours and enrollment.
  • Follow up with members who express interest in training or other club services.

Member Retention

  • Use CRM communications to improve member engagement and retention.
  • Create automated communications for new-member check-ins, membership milestones, club updates, and training opportunities.
  • Identify members who show signs of low engagement or possible cancellation.
  • Create follow-up and re-engagement campaigns for inactive and at-risk members.
  • Help connect members with programs, services, and resources that support their goals.
  • Contribute to a welcoming and consistent experience from a member’s first inquiry through their ongoing membership.

Teamwork and Department Development

  • Work closely with the other Membership Sales Lead and club management to build the department.
  • Maintain clear communication between the morning and evening shifts.
  • Help train and support a small membership sales team.
  • Share responsibility for CRM organization, promotions, reporting, training referrals, and retention campaigns.
  • Communicate important lead notes, appointments, and unfinished follow-ups during shift handoffs.
  • Help develop sales scripts, procedures, calendars, and training materials.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and provide updates on results, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in fitness-club sales, membership sales, customer service, or a similar sales environment.
  • Experience using CRM or club-management platforms such as ClubOS, ABC Fitness/ABC Financial, ABC Ignite, or comparable systems.
  • Experience creating automated sales, scheduling, follow-up, or retention communications is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to conduct tours, present services, handle objections, and confidently ask for the sale.
  • Ability to collaborate with another Sales Lead and club management.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable reviewing sales reports and using performance data to improve results.
  • Ability to train and support employees on sales procedures, CRM usage, and scheduling systems.
  • Experience developing promotions or coordinating sales campaigns is preferred.
  • Experience selling personal training or other fitness services is a plus.
  • Consistent availability Monday through Friday for either the morning or evening schedule.

The ideal candidate is confident, proactive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities while working collaboratively with another Sales Lead.

This person should be capable of building relationships, closing sales, maintaining an organized CRM, improving automated communications, developing promotions, and helping create a consistent sales experience.

We want someone who will identify opportunities, improve systems, support the team, and help grow both membership and personal training sales.
