Memory Care Director Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily operations of the Memory Care unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resident care.
· Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to residents’ cognitive and physical needs.
· Train, mentor, and support memory care staff to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
· Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to families and leadership.
· Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including safety and care standards.
· Plan and oversee engaging activities and programs designed for memory care residents.
· Collaborate with the broader leadership team to maintain a resident-centered community.
Memory Care Director Qualifications and Skills:
· Experience in memory care, dementia care, or senior living nursing management.
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of best practices for Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
· Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused mindset.
· Ability to mentor and inspire a team of caregivers.
· Familiarity with regulatory compliance and documentation requirements.
· Must be a licensed LPN or RN.
