King David Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a Memory Lane Coordinator to join the team at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, NY!

Memory Lane Coordinator Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activity programs for the dementia unit
- Create a monthly and daily recreation calendar and schedule for the unit
- Make residents aware of activity options, encourage participation and the pursuit of leisure interests
- Understand the special needs of memory-impaired residents and provide support and assistance
- Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting such to the Director of Recreation as required
- Observe and record resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement in activities, so that facility activities and residents' progress are evaluated, by noting, reporting, and charting resident behavior
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as indicated by the Director of Recreation
- Arrange and attend Dementia education classes and training for staff
- Manage Dementia support groups and education classes for family members
Memory Lane Coordinator Requirements
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Previous experience with the senior population
- COVID-19 Vaccination
