Client Overview:
Our client, a leading apparel company within the men's sportswear and activewear industry, is seeking a talented Men's Associate Designer (Activewear) to join their growing team. This organization is recognized for creating premium, performance-driven apparel with a strong focus on innovation, quality, and modern design.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30/hr

Position Overview:
The Men's Associate Designer (Activewear) will support the design and development process across men's knit, woven, casualwear, and activewear categories. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop seasonal collections from concept through production while ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics, customer expectations, and market trends.

Responsibilities of the Men's Associate Designer (Activewear):
  • Assist in the design and development of men's knit, woven, casualwear, and activewear categories.
  • Research market trends, fabrics, colors, trims, and silhouettes to contribute to seasonal concepts and product direction.
  • Create sketches, CADs, and technical flats using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems.
  • Support the creation of mood boards, color palettes, and seasonal concept presentations.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Technical Design teams to ensure accurate execution of garments.
  • Participate in fittings and assist with garment adjustments and fit comments.
  • Maintain organized design files, line sheets, sample tracking, and seasonal documentation.
  • Communicate with vendors and mills regarding fabric development, trims, and sample updates.
  • Ensure all designs align with brand standards, customer expectations, and target price points.
Required Experience/Skills for the Men's Associate Designer (Activewear):
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in men's apparel design.
  • Experience designing men's casualwear or activewear.
  • Strong knowledge of knit and woven product categories.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrications, and fit.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Men's Associate Designer (Activewear):
  • Experience within premium sportswear.
  • Strong eye for trend research, color, and fabric development.
  • Experience working directly with overseas vendors and mills.
  • Knowledge of technical design and product development processes.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design is required.
