Position Function:

The Men's Basketball Fellow will serve as a full-time employee of Mississippi State Basketball while learning under the guidance of the Head Coach and staff. This is a non-coaching position.

Salary Grade: 09

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist the staff with film breakdown and opponent scouting.

2. Chart, analyze, and distribute daily statistics from practice to the coaching staff.

3. Chart statistics as they pertain to the offense and defense.

4. Assist with game preparation.

5. Other duties as assigned.

Other duties may be assigned to the above consistent with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job. Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a collegiate men's basketball program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of certain fundamental concepts.
• SportsCode & Synergy knowledge required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates sensitivity.
• Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be a person of integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dirt, chemicals, etc.
• Job frequently requires walking, standing, lifting, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
• Requires handling of heavy weight objects up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis and on occasion up to 150 lbs.
• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
