Formalwear Sales Associate


VIP Formal Wear is looking for a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Formalwear Sales Associate to join our team. We are a specialty men’s formalwear business that has been serving customers for over 50 years, providing tuxedo and suit rentals and sales for weddings, proms, special events, and other formal occasions.


What You'll Do

• Provide friendly, professional service to customers from the time they enter the store through completion of their rental or purchase
  
  
• Help customers select tuxedos, suits, shirts, shoes, and accessories based on their needs and event
  
  
• Take accurate measurements and assist customers with proper fit and styling
  
  
• Enter and maintain accurate rental and sales orders
  
  
• Explain rental packages, pricing, policies, and return procedures
  
  
• Assist customers with fittings, pickups, returns, and exchanges
  
  
• Follow up with customers when needed to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
  
  
• Build customer relationships and generate sales through excellent service and product knowledge
  
  
• Maintain an organized, clean, and professional showroom
  
  
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, and other store duties as needed
  
  
• Work as part of a team to meet store sales and customer-service goals
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Previous retail, sales, customer service, or formalwear experience is preferred but not required
  
  
• Experience with men's suits, tuxedos, formalwear, or clothing is a plus
  
  
• Strong communication and people skills
  
  
• Comfortable working directly with customers and making product recommendations
  
  
• Detail-oriented and able to take accurate measurements
  
  
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to take responsibility for assigned tasks
  
  
• Professional appearance and demeanor
  
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, especially during busy wedding and prom seasons
  
  
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn our rental and sales systems
