 Join our team as a Customer Service Representative – Men's Residence! Help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment by providing exceptional front-desk service, assisting residents and visitors, and supporting the daily operations of our residential community.POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Customer Service Representative at the YMCA maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals. Resolve problems and concerns in a positive and professional mannerMay accept rental payments and record on the proper ledger, roster, and receiptPrepare shift-to-shift change procedureDistribute and collect keys from residents as they come and goDisperse the mail into appropriate resident's mail boxesMonitor cameras during the shift to ensure security of the building and residentsMaintain cleanliness and orderliness of work station at all times. Participate in a cleaning schedule with other desk staff so that the work station remains clean and in orderMust be knowledgeable in emergency procedures in case of fire or injury and contact the appropriate staff and emergency professionalsParticipate in orientation and staff development as requiredParticipate in performance evaluations annually or as requiredHelp with other tasks as assignedEffectively answer the telephone system for the YMCA Recreational Branch and direct calls in a courteous and timely fashion to the proper extensionHelp with other tasks as assignedLEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:Engaging CommunityInclusionEmotional MaturityQUALIFICATIONS:A high school diploma or equivalent preferredExcellent communication skills are essential Experience working with a diverse populationBasic computer and phone skillsWORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Obtain Criminal background check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI fingerprint clearance.
