Pfeiffer University Men's Soccer is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Goalkeeper Coach to join our coaching staff. This position is ideal for an individual who is committed to player development, building relationships with student-athletes, and contributing to a competitive NCAA Division III soccer program with championship expectations.

The Goalkeeper Coach will work directly with the head coach and staff to develop and train goalkeepers in all aspects of the position while helping foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and growth.

This position is a full-time, 10-month position.

Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all aspects of daily operations of the men's soccer program. This includes but not limited to aid in training the varsity team, coaching the reserve team, recruiting, film breakdown, field maintenance, making arrangements for away contests and trips, and skill development of players during practice. Other responsibilities include maintaining good organization of the equipment room, assist with administrative responsibilities that the men's soccer program are responsible for on a daily basis. Candidate is responsible for game-day field preparations including cutting grass and lining game field and assisting the Maintenance Director with fields during the summer and when needed. Also responsible for managing the field lights for home events and use of field by external visitors. Staff member is responsible for the monitoring of an institutional facility for the purposes of safety and facility security. Coach supervision is to prevent any activity that is dangerous to a student-athlete or other students. This does not allow the supervisor to direct or provide instruction to student-athletes while supervising.

Candidate should possess the ability to work well with their peers on staff and those within the athletic department and other departments on campus. They must be able to motivate recruits and current student-athletes, and have excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills. They must have the ability to work in unpredictable weather conditions, step in to play/demonstrate at practice if need be, and also at times be able to aid lifting equipment and heavy objects such as goals, benches. Have the ability to work nights and weekends.

Required qualifications include:

  • Previous coaching and/or competitive experience at the collegiate level,
  • Experience with fundraising and social media,
  • Valid driver's license, and
  • Knowledge of the NCAA, USA South, and institutional rules and regulations.
