We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional to join our team as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist with the necessary license or permit to practice.

 

In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations of adults 18 and over. Your expertise will help individuals navigate emotional challenges, manage mental health conditions, and improve their overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct support, clinical counseling, and innovative therapeutic interventions in various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, or telehealth platforms.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual needs.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to support patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or trauma-related issues such as PTSD.
  • Provide specialized counseling services for child and family therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on behavior management, social skills development, chronic pain management, and psychiatric medication support (psychopharmacology).
  • Maintain meticulous medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of medical records and accurate coding for billing purposes using CPT coding standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans, participate in clinical research initiatives, and contribute to data collection efforts to enhance patient care outcomes.

Requirements

  • Valid license or permit as an LMHC, LMSW, LPC, Psychologist, or equivalent credential recognized by state licensing boards.
  • Proven experience in behavioral health settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, or telehealth environments.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health diagnoses and ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management.
  • Experience working with diverse populations such as children, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder; familiarity with special education is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma or PTSD care with compassion and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient education, case documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

*Will be required to obtain your NY License within 3 months of hire for licensed professionals. *Part-time positions are required to work 20-25 hours per week. *Full-time positions are required to work 35-40 hours per week. *Licensed Professionals: $53-55 per hour *Permit Professionals- $43-45 per hour
