A New York City-based nonprofit organization is looking to add a new Mental Health Clinician to its growing Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team.
About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities:
Conducting initial mental health assessments
Developing next steps, such as housing placement and service linkage
Engaging clients in their homes and community settings
Providing support and advocacy
Working with clients in various locations, including encampments and hospitals
Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work
Experience in a Mental Health and/or Social Services role/setting
Proficiency in Health Information Technology
Ability to work with diverse populations
Team collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications:
NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and/or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Experience in Clinical Case Management
Knowledge of NYC homeless resources
