Join Our Team as a Mental Health Coordinator - LPC, LCSW, LMFT

Key Responsibilities include conducting mental health screenings and assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, providing counseling and crisis intervention, and maintaining strict confidentiality to ensure the safety and dignity of those we serve. You will play a crucial role in addressing mental health needs through thoughtful evaluation and empathetic treatment, contributing to a healthier, more supportive environment for inmates.

Required Skills:
  • Active CA license as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
  • Proven experience in mental health assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention
  • Strong understanding of psychological counseling theories and techniques
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform all job functions at a high level of professionalism and efficiency
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience working within correctional or custodial settings
  • Bilingual abilities or additional language proficiency
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
  • Experience with electronic health record documentation systems

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical mental health experience, preferably in correctional or institutional environments
  • Active and valid license in California (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT)

Other Requirements:
  • US Citizenship required for ICE clearance; expedited process in place
  • Ability to obtain ICE clearance in 4-6 weeks and start immediately thereafter
  • Open availability for 8-hour shifts, including days and evenings, with weekend shifts as needed
  • Willingness to travel and attend required trainings or meetings
  • Additional licensure, certification, and travel reimbursements available as applicable
