Scope: District-wide, Howell Public Schools (11 buildings, PreK-12)
Status: Full-Time (FTE 1.0) Monday - Friday
Work Year: 11 months (August - June); 192 work days (Start and year to be determined)

SUMMARY:
The District Mental Health Coordinator serves as a credentialed clinical partner to the Director of Positive School Climate and Culture, providing clinical supervision and consultation to HPS's 31aa-funded mental health professionals and leading the district-wide implementation of mental health and suicide prevention priorities. This position brings clinical authority and a dedicated focus on implementation to a district that has made significant investments in student mental health infrastructure.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to coordinate hands, eyes, feet and limbs in performing semi-skilled movements such as operation of a computer keyboard, telephone, calculator and dictation equipment. The employee is occasionally required to exert light to medium physical effort in sedentary and light to medium work involving lifting, carrying, pushing, walking, standing, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is normally indoors with controlled climate conditions. Occasionally, the employee may be required to be outdoors for a short period of time while travelling to a different location, and may therefore be subject to varying weather conditions, for purposes of accomplishing the essential functions of this job.
TERMS
Salary is in accordance with the Non-Affiliated salary scale, depending upon experience. Other benefits will be established by the Board of Education in accordance with benefits offered to central office administration including full family medical and ancillary benefits (dental, vision & life insurance.).
